I’m excited to announce the release of Babytone, an innovative app designed to help young children develop perfect pitch from an early age.
Why BabyTone?
Research suggests that early childhood is the best time to develop perfect pitch—the rare ability to recognise musical notes without a reference. Many professional musicians who possess this skill started their musical journeys at a very young age. With BabyTone, I wanted to create a fun, engaging, and scientifically informed way for parents to nurture their child's musical abilities effortlessly.
How it works
BabyTone is built with a simple, intuitive interface that introduces babies and toddlers to musical notes in a playful way. The app features:
- Engaging Sounds & Visuals – Each note is paired with colours, and bright, friendly animations to capture a child’s attention (in a minimal fashion).
- Repetition & Reinforcement – Carefully designed exercises help reinforce pitch recognition.

What’s next?
This is just the beginning - the app is still in its infancy. I plan to roll out new features, including progress tracking for parents, additional learning modes, and more advanced musical challenges as children grow. It will be refined and available on App stores in the near future.
